IonXtech ("we", "our", or "us") built the Privacy Display app as a utility application. This Service is provided by IonXtech and is intended for use as is.

Display Over Other Apps (Overlay Permission)

Used to display the privacy screen above other apps. We do not read or capture the content of other apps.

Foreground Service

Required to keep the privacy overlay active while the app runs in the background.

Notification Permission (Android 13+)

Used to show a persistent notification that allows you to quickly toggle the privacy overlay.

Receive Boot Completed

If you enable the "Start on Boot" option, this permission allows the app to restart the privacy service after your device reboots.

Usage Access (Optional, If Enabled)

If you enable automation features that depend on app detection, the app may request Usage Access permission to detect which app is currently in the foreground. We do not collect or store this data. It is processed locally on your device to trigger overlay automation.

Ignore Battery Optimizations (Optional)

If you choose to disable battery optimization for uninterrupted service, this permission ensures the overlay works reliably in the background.

3. Data Storage

All settings (such as overlay opacity, automation preferences, and scheduling) are stored locally on your device using Android's secure storage mechanisms.

No data is transmitted to IonXtech or third parties.

4. Data Sharing

We do not:

• Sell user data
• Share personal data with third parties
• Use third-party analytics
• Use advertising SDKs
• Transmit data to external servers

Privacy Display operates entirely offline.

5. Children's Privacy

Privacy Display does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the app does not collect any personal data, it is safe for general audiences.

Because the app does not collect or transmit personal data, there is minimal risk related to data breaches. All functionality runs locally on your device.
